Celeste has been sewing all her life.

Celeste Breen has been sewing all her life. She began at the age of eight alongside her grandmother’s watchful eye. In high school, Celeste began formal sewing lessons, and has been taking them ever since. She has taken lessons in everything from apparel to quilting to home décor over the years.

Eager to share her experience with others, Celeste soon began teaching. She started working at the Libertyville Sewing Center in November 1999, and taught classes for them through April 2003, her time of employment there. During this time, she also became a Registered instructor for Kids Can Sew, and since 2001 has been instructing children using this program. She left Libertyville Sewing Center to become store manager of Stretch and Sew, a retail store in Racine Wisconsin. There from May 2003 until February 2004, Celeste oversaw the store as well as taught classes. In July 2005, she completed instruction with the Home Sewing Association to be a Trained Sewing Educator.

In addition to running her own business, Sew Much Fun, Celeste has taught at Shoo Fly Quilts in Grayslake, Illinois, and the Barrington Sewing Center in Barrington, Illinois. She also teaches the Kids Can Sew program out of her home after school. She also offers sewing camps during the summer.

A resident of Grayslake, Illinois, Celeste has served on the Architectural Review Committee for a 359 Single-Family Home Community. She is also an active member of the Liberty Prairie Conservation organization and the Environmental Stewardship Committee of her subdivision.
