My current services are as follows:

• Group and Private Lessons

As a Registered Instructor for Kids Can Sew® & Fashion Design since 2001, I have after school programs and summer camps. In these classes the children learn the basics of clothing construction. They learn how to read a pattern, how to buy the correct fabric and notions and how to follow instructions. In the more advanced classes we have done things such as purses, made sun-dyed fabric and used the computer to generate patterns. I also offer private instruction and occasionally teach at area shops

• Custom Embroidery

Personalize towels, pillowcases, and Christmas stockings. Have your school or company logo put on shirts, hats, jackets or even an umbrella. Label a quilt for that someone special. How about a ring bearer’s pillow or the slip of a christening gown embroidered with names and dates to commemorate the event? What a wonderful remembrance.

• Unique sewing solutions

Such as minor alterations, quilts from t-shirts, turning wedding dresses into christening gowns and many other things. Want a pillow made from grandpa’s ties for each of the grandkids, I can do that. How about a purse from your favorite worn out jeans? Maybe a quilt from your old baby clothes? These are all things I have done, plus many more. What other creative ideas do you have? If it involves sewing, I can probably do it.
